Call for Papers

The Scientific Division “Paints-Varnishes-Inks” of the Greek Chemists Association, in partnership with the School of Chemical Engineering, Department of Materials Science and Engineering of NTUA is calling for abstracts for research achievements to be presented at the 14th Paints Symposium.

You are kindly invited to submit abstracts detailing your previously, high level technical research results to be considered for presentation at the symposium. Please note that this selection is based solely on the content of the abstract submitted, so a clear and detailed description of the work aligned with these criteria is strongly encouraged. Student research is encouraged and submitted abstracts will be fully considered.

The 14th Paints Symposium also features a highly publicized “Posters” Session. Applicants may request that their abstract will be considered solely for presentation in this “Posters” Session.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Abstracts are submitted exclusively online and the presenter is required to register via the Symposium’s website.

Fill in the presenter registration form and submit the abstract of the technical paper or poster (400-500 words). For oral presentations, a full CV, a short bio (100-200 words) and a photo of the speaker is also required.

In order to comply with the expectations of the conference attendees, use of commercial trade names or product names is not permitted. All abstracts and subsequent paper and poster submissions must be non-commercial in style and pre-approved from the scientific committee prior to the conference.

The Scientific Committee of the 14th Symposium will proceed to the selection of presentations and posters based solely on the content of the submitted abstracts, emphasizing criteria such as: relevance to proposed topics, scientific significance, innovation and potential added value to industry. The authors are encouraged to report in their summary purely and analytically the uniqueness and originality of their research.

Acceptance of the abstract requires the authors to submit either a technical paper and presentation or a poster by the deadline, for publication in the proceedings of the 14th Symposium.

Speakers will not be compensated and are expected to pay for their own travel and lodging expenses.
